The Hervey Bay Chamber of Commerce is a proactive and dynamic forum for the sustainable growth and development of the City of Hervey Bay.
The Hervey Bay Chamber of Commerce keeps its members informed of the issues and developments which affect business in Hervey Bay. It provides a forum for the debate, exchange and formulation of concepts, strategies and ideas. This communication between the business community assists in the progress of Hervey Bay as a profitable, sustainable and dynamic city.
Our monthly breakfasts provide an opportunity to hear business leaders, guest speakers and representatives from federal, state and local governments discuss new ideas, trends, developments and opportunities relevant to our business community.

University of Southern Queensland, Fraser Coast Campus
USQ's Fraser Coast campus is located on the Queensland coast at Hervey Bay. A short flight or a three hour drive from Brisbane, Hervey Bay is a great location, with a superb climate, pristine beaches and a cosmopolitan lifestyle.
The campus is walking distance to shops, sporting facilities and the calm bay waters, which are perfect for diving, swimming, snorkelling and marine studies.
A range of USQ undergraduate and postgraduate programs and courses can be studied at or through the Fraser Coast campus, including:
- Human Services (Counselling)
- Community Welfare and Development
- Education (Early childhood, primary and secondary)
The campus caters to small class sizes and prides itself on personal face-to-face teaching or supportive distance learning. It is technologically state-of-the-art and provides ready access to global information and resources.

The Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation
 The Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation works to support business growth in Queensland - by "making smart businesses bigger and big businesses smarter".
DEEDI is the Queensland Government's lead agency in relation to economic development and is the focal point in the State Government for raising and negotiating matters impacting on the state's development and innovation with other levels of government.
DEEDI contributes to economic growth by fostering a positive business environment for business and industry, promotes sustainable regional development, actively pursues strong partnerships with key industry sectors, aggressively seeks to identify major new opportunities to assist the state's future development and involves the private sector in capturing these opportunities, and strengthens the state's export performance.
Ensuring a whole-of-government approach, the department also supports innovative enterprises, boosts the development of projects and works to ensure that efficient infrastructure meets the changing needs of industry to enhance Queensland's economic strength and competitiveness. State Development is the central entry point for Queensland businesses to access government services, providing extensive business information, advice and support.
